Your submissions will be judged by a panel of industry professionals and experienced motion designers. We've got some of the best talent in the biz here to see your work!
Entering your work in AEMA provides an opportunity to showcase your talent, gain recognition for your creativity, and to connect with industry professionals or other emerging motion designers. It's a chance to elevate your career and join a supportive community of people with similar passions.
You'll need to submit a non-commercial motion design project, along with a brief description of the project, some information about yourself, your role in its creation, and any relevant technical details. Make sure to review the submission guidelines for specific requirements and format specifications.
Our judges are looking for originality, creativity, technical skill, and a clear concept in the submitted works. They will assess each entry based on creative and innovative ideas, visual impact, storytelling ability, and overall execution.
AEMA is open to young and emerging motion designers under the age of 25 residing in Australia or New Zealand. We welcome submissions from students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals. LGBTQIA+, Indigenous and otherwise culturally, ethnically or linguistically diverse people are encourager to enter!
Winners will receive a variety of prizes from our fantastic sponsors depending on the category, an official certificate, and major bragging rights. Additionally, your work will be showcased on our website, social media channels, and in press releases, giving you exposure to a broad audience of industry professionals and potential employers.
The AEMA awards will be held annually. The submission period opens several months before the awards ceremony, with winners announced during a virtual event. Keep an eye on our website and social media channels for exact dates and deadlines.
